Flores is listed as one of the exotic islands which are targeted to be electrified using green energy in late 2019 by Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Flores is also one of the Lesser Sunda Island, a group of island in the eastern half of Indonesia, and located in east of Sumbawa and Komodo and west of Lembata and the Alor Archipelago.
